Professor Shen Wanci of Tsinghua University: China is moving from a big graphite country to a powerful graphite power
On December 18th, at the second International Carbon Materials Conference and industrial exhibition, Professor Shen Wanci of Tsinghua University summarized the research and development of graphene mining, deep processing and graphene new materials in China. He believes that China's graphite industry has been in the leading position in the world, especially in the selection technology, many countries are looking for the introduction of mining technology and equipment from China.
Shen Wanci said that China has the world's largest natural graphite industry, and it is also in the world's advanced level in the technology and equipment for mining and mining of graphite minerals. In the new materials, such as flexible graphite and natural graphite negative material, China is the largest producer in the world, and is moving from a big graphite country to a powerful graphite power.
According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 150 graphite mine enterprises in China at present. There are 400-500 beneficiation and processing enterprises, with annual output of 100-150 million tons and output value of about 20 billion. In terms of exports, China exported 15-20 million tons of flake graphite and microcrystalline graphite annually, accounting for more than 1/3 of the world trade volume. It is the largest producer and largest trading country in the world.
"Now, China's Graphite mining technology is in the leading position in the world, and the graphite industry in Tanzania, Russia, Vietnam and other countries seek to introduce technology and equipment from China. Shen Wanci thought, "China has no longer belonged to any country in terms of research and industrialization of natural graphite deep processing technology, equipment and new materials. As a whole, China's natural graphite industry has entered the list of world powers."
However, according to Shen Wanci, in the management of graphene industry, the graphite industry at the initial stage of reform and opening up has basically not invested in environmental protection, which has caused serious pollution to the graphite industry which has not been polluted seriously, and so far sequelae are still there.
