The lithium anode material project
(1) Industry background and policy
The widespread use of lithium-ion batteries has promoted the rapid development of spherical graphite. With spherical graphites being recognized as the "13th Five-Year" key support project and with the rapid development of the market demand for lithium-ion batteries, the spherical graphite market enjoys very broad prospects.
(2) Process and capacity
Spherical graphite materials are featured by high crystallinity, low cost, low and flat charge and discharge potentials. At present, the anode material of lithium-ion batteries adopts the process of purifying followed by coating, while the process adopted by our company is a process of high-temperature purification after coating, which has better conductivity and chemical stability, long cycle life and environmental protection performance. After the completion of the project, it can realize 90,000 tons of new-type spherical graphite (about 1/4 of the total market weight), a total capacity of 100GW new power storage equipment and a total capacity of 5GW lithium battery. After it fully reaches the designed capacity, the production output value will be 7 billion yuan. The new-type spherical graphite material produced has the characteristics of high crystallinity, low cost, low and flat charge and discharge potentials; it is also an alternative product of anode materials used for battery production at home and abroad. The new type of energy storage equipment can be used for adjusting the peaks and valleys of power for the whole urban power grid, and provide uninterrupted power supply in unforeseen circumstances. It is the core equipment for building smart grids of smart cities in the future in China. The first-tier cities in China have already started the planning and layout. In the future, there will be tremendous room for its development and it will be an essential infrastructure for future cities. Power lithium batteries can be used in many fields such as ships and automobiles.
