Weihai Nanhai New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the Carbon Material Industrial Park of Nanhai New Area in Weihai at the eastern end of the Shandong Peninsula. The project covers an area of 500 mu with ten planned core projects. The first phase of the basic projects that have 2 been started include the UHMW graphites project with an annual output of 10,000 tons, the new fuel cell bipolar plate project with an annual output of 3000000 square meters, and the high-purity graphene project with an annual output of tons. After the first phase of the project is put into operation, the annual sales revenue is expected to reach about 18 million yuan.

Innovation is the non-stop engine, and science and technology is the pilot. The company owns independent intellectual property rights for the relevant technologies and equipment, and adopts the world-leading physical purification technology. The industrial process produces no industrial waste emissions, truly achieving green and cleaner production. The core high-purity graphite purification process has greatly changed the backwardness in this area in China. The purity of products increases from 99.9% in the past to 99.999% at present; enhance the unit energy consumption of products is reduce by 90%, and the production efficiency is increased by 20 times. The entire production line adopts automatic control. Multiple automatic safety devices are installed to achieve over-temperature automatic power-off; the non-powered self-cooling system ensures the safe and efficient operation of the entire production line.

The company is poised for development. The upcoming second phase of the carbon materials deep processing project consists of three core areas: the graphene functional materials industrial zone mainly involves the production and deep processing of graphene composite materials, which have a wide range of applications; for example, they can be used for producing new types of electronic components, new wear-resistant materials, new coatings, and enhanced additives; the new energy carbon materials industry zone is mainly engaged in the production of super capacitors and new fuel cells. Compared with the traditional lithium batteries, supercapacitors and fuel cells made of graphenes are characteristic of high energy density, long cycle life and rapid charging, which are the next generation of new energy sources. The nuclear industrial graphite material industrial zone mainly includes the production of neutron deceleration materials for nuclear reactors, nuclear radiation shielding materials for nuclear reactors, and nuclear grade pipeline sealing materials, which mainly serves large-scale nuclear power plants in the aspects of production and maintenance.

After the completion of the constructions of the basic zone and the three core zones, Nanhai New Area Carbonaceous Material Industrial Park will achieve a processing capacity of 100,000 tons of high-carbon materials every year. The expected output value will reach 200 million yuan and provide 5000 jobs.

In order to establish an effective R & D center and expand the sales market, the company will also create a carbon materials research and development base centered on the Carbon Research Institute, cooperate with many universities and research institutes at home and abroad, and gradually establish a sustainable development model integrating production, university and research institutes, to continuously carry out technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and thus to achieve the aggregation effect of the carbon industry.
